The family of Lt Col. Chuck Chapman (Ret.) has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor of their American HERO. After childhood, he enthusiastically joined the Marines, committing his life to his country and caring for the family he loved. Known simply as the "Colonel" to many, Lt. Colonel Chapman served the Marine Corps honorably for more than two decades, becoming a commander and exemplary leader. His distinguished military career included tours in the Viet Nam and Korean Wars, and later served as Commanding Officer of theCOMPLETED Raleigh, N.C. Marine Corps Reserve Center. After a dedicated 25 years, he retired from the Marines as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1973.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee. The family of Owen Council has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to help in honoring their father. He served his country well during a terrific time in history, and deserves the honor and respect he is due. He served in the US Army, 101st Airborne as a Pathfinder. He was also a part of the Normandy invasion, a POW, and was wounded in combat. He was 88. Service will be at the Friendship Primitive Baptist Church, 165 Friendship Church Rd, Crawfordville, Fl. Graveside at the Council Cemetery on Hwy 319 (no address) several miles back towards Tallahassee on the right from the church.
Please help us give him the honor and respect he so richly deserves.
Special Note - My personal Observation and thought.
" As Mr. Council and his family was escorted, I was impressed by the respect He received. EVERY CAR STOPPED AND PULLED OVER AS WE PASSED. SOME EVEN GOT OUT OF THEIR CAR AND SALUTED."" Here is a lesson partially lost over the years and needs to be learned again.

He served with the 82nd Airborne, was a Vietnam Veteran, and earned 3 bronze stars during his service. Sgt Brown was medically retired. It is now time for us to stand for him as he stood for us during his time with the Army.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army as an E-4. Bill was born 5 May 52, in Stillwater Oklahoma, and passed away on 6 MAY 11. It is now our turn to stand for him as he stood for us.
We will escort family and friends from Hudson Park, 21 Ochlocknee St., Crawfordville, FL, 32327, to the Good Shepard Catholic Church located at 4665 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, FL, for the memorial service where we will form a flag line at 10:30a. We will stand down just after the service begins at 11:00a.

The parents of Marine Peter Coukoulis has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to share in the welcoming home of their hero. He is coming home from Afghanistan for a two week leave to be with his family. Peter still has just over a year left in the Marines and will return to Camp Lejeune after his leave. This will be a time of celebration and happiness for Peter and his family.
